Dachau Concentration Camp

The Memorial to those that perished in the German Concentration camps during WW II is both educational and depressing. Some of the buildings are as they were in the 1940s, but many are reproductions to represent the camp as it was.

One of the 4 remaining original guard houses on the perimeter fence.

The "new" Crematoriums (built in 1944).The prisioners were either gassed and then cremated or died and were cremated.

The gas chamber - where the prisioners were told that they were being taken for "showers".
